And I'm in full steam ahead mode now..... everything must be out the door by Friday..... and two items are hung up in the postal system or the UPS system.... so they will be late in getting to recipients... what has happened to next day delivery Amazon?

OC I hope your laundry hasn't overwhelmed you.....it's fun having house guests till they've left and laundry......

skip today's show not much if anything happened that you couldn't figure out for yourself...... that will say you 37 minutes......

Happy Monday.....

Hi everyone. Hope the weekend was good for everyone.

Robinsnest, if they're coming through the mail system to your relatives in Canada, Canada Post is STILL on strike with not progress in negotiations. In my opinion, given Canada Post has not made money in years, businesses and people alike have found alternates to Canada Post and will be in a worse off position than before.

We had a good weekend. Hung out at home, did some cleaning, went to see a comedian on Saturday and just chilled at home yesterday.

This week work, visiting our friend who will have his scan today to see if this new drug is working, and volleyball Thursday and Friday. Saturday we are planning to decorate the tree and put a few Christmas nick backs out

Have a good day and week everyone.

51 and pouring. Yes! Keep it coming, we NEED rain!! But temps all over the place. Wednesday will be 60, Thursday will be 38.

Robin: Sorry for your gift delays. The Amazon workers were on strike briefly but back at it now. However, sometimes "next day" is not accurate.

Muzza: I hope Canada Post settles their strike soon. Glad you had a good weekend. Good luck to your friend. Enjoy your activities.

Let's all get through Monday, never a fun day, but usually manic, like the song goes.

Another cloudy day in the low 50s. It feels colder since it's so damp. Colder tomorrow with
clouds. Hopefully, the sun will be out Wed. I don't like the cloudy days in winter.

Another busy morning at church and lots of recycling items.

robin, good luck getting packages sent off.

Muzzaman, I hope your friend gets a good scan today.

Wilde Woman, enjoy the rain.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

Muzz, hoping for a good report for your friend.

Looks like a busy week for me. We got our cattle worked on Friday. This morning we moved mine back across the road (niece had moved hers on Friday right after they were worked). After lots of trouble last week getting all of them into place, finishing up with them today went about as smoothly as anyone could hope or imagine. Even one troublesome cow "fell into place" at the last minute. My hunter lady had called both of us on Saturday, telling of one cow around their camp, which is in a 100 acre strip of mine where there aren't supposed to be any cows. Assuming it was my cow, we set out this morning to find her and get her back with the others. When we found her and I got out to open a gate, I happened to look at her from a distance and decided she looked more like my niece's cows than mine. A closer look confirmed it so we avoided putting her in the wrong pasture, saving us an unknown amount of time and frustration.

Everything seems to be in place now so we can go on to other things. We went to county seat town, where I renewed registration on truck and two farm trailers, paid property taxes and did a few other errands, and ate at the only cafe in town that was open. The business people in these small towns seem to close at the drop of a hat. They'll post on Facebook that they're taking the day off for one thing or another, then say, "We'll see you later." Everyone seems fine with it.

Tomorrow we have to go to the Walmart town and do several things, including getting my truck out of the shop. It was towed last week. Turned out to need a new starter.

I have other places to go later in the week but I'll save that for another day. A cold front moved through here today. It's cloudy, will stay above freezing tonight but will be windy and cold tomorrow.

Got the tree up (small 4 ft) and lights are on today. Earliest ever for me. (USUALLY, around the 14-15th for me. However, one year, really late. I was pregnant and she was late, so did not arrive til the 16th. Came home from hospital on the 20th, and NO tree. I was so upset. Hubby went out, bought one, returned and put the lights on right away. Mom came over and hung the decorations. (actually wanted to see the baby, of course, lol). Mom was fit to be tied that the house had not even been cleaned, called up my sis (who had just has a baby in Sept. ) to come over and help get things done. She did ..........guarantee you that sort of thing NEVER happened again with the next two. LOL. Hubby was totally embarassed, a shamed, etc.
I have boxes of ornaments, but don't put them on any more. Gosh, used to do the whole live tree, lights, ornaments, and TINSEL.
Still have to put up the manger, which I will try to get done by weekend, have errands tomorrow. Don't know why I fuss at all, No one comes over, no one sees but me. LOL. Even my little tree, all lit up, can only be seen in the back yard, lol. No windows face the street. Ahhh, such fun, but last year I was in the hospital, so am thanking the Good Lord I am still here, at home, able to attend church, and enjoy Christmas in the neighborhood.

You know, maybe tis the season, or some folks are just very nice and thoughtful.....but...last thurs. or maybe friday, I ran over to the supermarket, did my grocery shopping, push the cart out to the parking lot, I knew I was in the middle, one of two lanes, right in front, so go down the one....wrong ...so up the next and I stop, looking around for my car.....And this guy says, "can't remember where you parked your car"?. I reply "I know it is in the middle here somewhere......and he asks what color is it. "Red" I reply, he starts looking around, I am as well, loudly telling him last 4 digits of license plate (lots of red cars), he spots the car, found it. "here you go, maam", and he just walks away, I am Yelling "thank you so much" he turns and says, you are more than welcome. Don't know if I had just seemed lost or perplexed, lol.....but he just stepped up so quick to help this "little ol' lady.

Some years ago, I was walking down a busy street, and noticed this older woman, standing on the corner, but not moving even tho lights said it was o.k. and changed a few times. I went over, asked if perhaps I might help. That poor woman was afraid to venture off the curb, as cars were turning corners when the other lane had the greens........So, took her arm, got her across the street. We never know. She was go grateful. And tho I did not really need that man's help, why ruin his "feel good" moments? Sorry, I do blather on at times. Forgive me.
