To Kansas? IT's 28 and I'll be out at the soccer field in a short couple of hours.... the high for the day is not going near the 40 degree range.... it's crystal clear and breezy..... wonderful weather.....

Yesterday the day off during the week I got the house decorated, still need to do the tree.... the cookies didn't get started.... that will be tomorrow's experiment.... then on to wrapping gifts and mailing them out...

I hope everyone has a great day during this busy time of the year....

Good morning, the sun just came out this minute, tho we are snow covered everywhere and tis a crispy 17°. a friend is supposed to come by later and we go for groceries today. Yeah, the boots now sit by the door. It looks like perhaps a bit of plowing was done on the street, and guess what? one shovel sweep in front of my garage door......that was it. No idea what is going on, but think that person in charge of outdoor chores is not back from vacation. Place next door to me (2 apt. condo ) is completely shoveled in front of her garage which is attached to mine.....so........who knows? Enjoy your day.......!!!

I feel guilty that it is a sunny 37, and the predicted high winds are not that high yet. Maybe we caught a break. I shouldn't jinx it. You know the saying, "If you don't like the weather in NY, wait a minute."

Robin: Stay warm and have fun with the holiday activities. Do you serve cookies with Rocky Road Ice Cream like Marlena?

Poirot: Sounds like a winter wonderland! Be careful going out and get enough groceries to sustain you for a while.

Let's all have a great Thursday!

It was 39 when I woke up at 4:30 this morning. The temperature kept going down overnight. It was 35 at walk time,
but windy. It's sunny and 37. It's going to be in the teens tomorrow AM. No early morning walk. Warmer on weekend.

I'll be doing studies this afternoon.

robin, have you bought long johns or some kind of leggings to wear under your jeans. It would be a good investment.

Poirot, good luck shopping today.

Wilde Woman, I hope you won't get the high winds.

I hope everyone has a pleasant rest of the day.

Oh my, there was a 7.3 earthquake off the shore of northern California and now area around San Francisco
under a tsunami warning.

They cancelled the warning.

I think it's around 50* here but it is mostly sunny with a light to moderate breeze. It feels cold to me, since there's nothing about cold weather that I enjoy, but I can always be grateful it's not worse and I wish the best for all of you who do have the snow and/or truly cold temperatures.

Poirot, I wonder if the neighbor paid someone to come clear her snow.

I'm just now eating a lunch of leftovers.........Oops, my niece called. She was ready to come over and move my cows across the road so I took the three grandsons and went down to assist. The cows were pretty cooperative except that one cow and about 12 calves, using reasoning known only to cows, decided to run along the inside of the fence in the wrong direction instead of coming through the gate like everybody else. They eventually came back and walked right past the gate and followed the fence in the other direction. Finally, after realizing everybody else had moved on, they found the gate and went through. I thought of that guy on Facebook who watches people do stupid things while he makes funny facial expressions in response. (Is it Adam West? I know there is "Adam" in his name).

I left my lunch unfinished. It wasn't very good anyway. So now I'm eating salt and vinegar potato chips and drinking Mexican Coke. I have a little electric heater at my feet. The wind felt miserably cold to me. Had to take my wind sock/streamers down because the cows now would have had access to it. Daughter-in-law took up her Christmas lights for the same reason.

64°F here
Cloudy skies I picked up 4 ft prelit tree that should fit in my trailer
Not the beautiful 6ft plus we had at mom and dad's house but such is life
At Chick-fil-A eating an early supper

Ah, shopping got changed to Saturday........The Sun did some melting of thin scattered snow, which was nice.......even tho temp only reached 20 today. Friend brought over a piece of her home made cheesecake, ate half of it after lunch, leaving the other small half piece for tomorrow.
Will be putting up my 4 ft. tree on Saturday, only lights, no ornaments, tho I have boxes of them. LOL
I hope to get the manger up this year.
Last year I was in the hospital in November, and again in December (relapse) so am really trying to take it very easy this year. Thus did not do much of any sort of holiday decor. No, not even the tree.

Poirot, cheesecake, what a treat! I hope you'll enjoy your tree. Four ft. is a nice size for limited space living. Best not to put yourself under a strain.

Sexton, as the years go by there are more and more things that fall under "such is life." I hope you'll enjoy your tree too.

Thanks, Robin. I knew Adam West didn't seem right. Wasn't he an actor in something like Batman? Yes, Adam Rose. I've been enjoying his posts, though a little bit of it goes a long way.

I've been back outside looking at that star or planet or whatever it is in the northwest sky again. Since nobody else is talking about it, I have to assume it's something normal but I've never seen anything like it before. It swirls around, up and down and sideways. Appears to "string out," looking like a large snake with lights, dipping and swirling this way and that. It's nothing like the bright stars or planets seen around the moon in the early darkness.
