12/20/24 - Donuts and Teaser Wintry Mix

we are warming up.... and will be near if not beyond the 50's today..... insane weather in this part of the country.....or so I've been told.... it was 82 in Phoenix yesterday..... so they aren't finished with summer yet or spring has arrived early......as long as it remains dry for the next two days it's all good as I head to California......
all boxes have arrived at their locations..... so my kids Grandma gifts have arrived.....I can now just sit back and enjoy the rest of the year....

Robin, when are you leaving? What a nice feeling it must be to have everything done that needed doing!

Wilde Woman, I hope the pigeons have found a cozy dry spot. Wintry mix never sounds very good. Stay away from those windows. :)

I'm finishing up laundry and making up the last of the beds from Thanksgiving. Took a long break for the past week or so. I think I've settled on staying home for Christmas.
 
It was in the high 20s at walk time this morning. It's sunny and 35 now. It will be warmer on Sunday.

A busy Friday. I cleaned two kitchen counters, washed a bathroom floor and put birdseed out.
The squirrel found the seed. I went out and put out an ear of corn. I hope he leaves the seed alone.
My humidifier is probably over 25 years old. It wasn't working after I put water in it. I tried and
tried. I pulled out from the wall and noticed dust on the floor. I got that cleaned up and cleaned
the inside of humidifier. I don't know what I did, but it's working now. Hopefully, I can get the
rest of stuff cleaned this weekend. The stove is icky.

I wrote my son and mentioned getting shots. I read if you get a flu shot that would be helpful
against the bird flu. He told me both of them got the flu and Covid shots last month.

Wilde Woman, have you gotten enough rain to be out of the drought?

robin, I'm glad the packages arrived for the family.

OC, I hope you can have a restful weekend.

Saturday morning.... returning the following Sunday..... Friday had to fit two doctor's appointments in because someone won't find doctors closer.... at least for now it looks like no storms on or way to the west coast to early to tell how long it will take to get home.... the same person who has appointments on Friday Dec 27 in Phoenix has one on Monday Dec 30 in Wichita......

I'll check in as able while on the road.... when in Santa Monica it will be easier.... or at the hotel in Phoenix.....
 
We’re in for a very cold next few days in Philly. The white stuff has been coming down since the afternoon and has started gathering. I’m just waiting for spring and cherry blossoms at this point.

Did some more holiday gift shopping at the mall today, which was insanely crowded but fun. Last bits of that to come tomorrow, as I have too much work tonight to still get done.
 
Last day of school today and we visited one of the elementary schools to sing some of our holiday songs. Took them out for lunch after. Nice way to wrap up a busy month of performing. Looking forward to getting reacquainted with my couch next week!

Yep that’s me! A busy and condensed December with Thanksgiving being so late this year had a calendar full of 7 performances in the last 3 weeks. The day after Christmas will be a welcome change of having nothing scheduled for a few days! It’s the most wonderful time of the year…unless you’re a musician haha
 
Too bad so many sites assume everyone has a cell phone......so make no alternates for those who don't. Tis funny........NONE of my friends here have internet, are not interested in it at all. And I know folks who avoid it completely, and some who may be registered, but rarely, if every, use it. I don't use my cell for anything except as a phone. Landlines got discontinued here, boo, hiss.
