Good morning. Quite blustery here today. Steady winds at 30 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50. Another one of those days where we can expect at least brief power outages. At least we aren't experiencing the extreme cold that many of you are dealing with.
Stay warm and safe!!

Oooops. Forgot to add HAPPY BIRTHDAY DRBAKER FAN!!! :wine:

UPDATE: Currently 112 separate power outages in Puget Sound area -- affecting 12,000 customers. Mine was out for 10 minutes, and I expect will go out again at various times throughout the day. The winds are expected to last until 4:00 this afternoon.

We are cloudy, overcast, and temp has jumped up to 26° here at 10 a.m. and forecasting snow today and all week. With the higher temps probably gonna be a wet snow, yuk. Right now, just a thin layer on the ground.....wacky weather continues, and not just here, it seems. Wonder what Jan & Feb have in store. lol

The sun is trying to come out after a morning of rain. It's close to 60 now. The ditch is full
of water again since it rained during the night.

A busy morning doing errands and at the little library. When I came home the last time, I
wiped my car with a towel. I got a lot of dirt off. I plan to put car back in garage tomorrow.
I finally got some Christmas cards ready to mail.

Lil0, stay safe with the winds.

Poirot, stay safe if you go out driving in the weather.

Happy Birthday, DrBakerfan.

I hope everyone has a nice rest of the day.

Groan.....a rough night and day. I wouldn't be surprised if I have Covid, since it feels very much the same as before. I'm to ride out whatever it is, giving special attention to not getting dehydrated. Nausea hasn't allowed me to eat or drink much but at least I haven't thrown up so far. I had some bottles of electrolytes and have been sipping on them. Slept only an hour last night so I've had a couple of naps today. The best relief is standing in a hot shower but it's only temporary--head/face pain comes back when I get out of the shower. Time for another round at it.

Lil0, I hope you have power and are safe from that awful wind.

Am so sorry you are having such a rough time, O.C. I had to run out to the store, it still had not snowed, put on warm jacket, etc. look out window......tis SNOWING .....so I jumped in car, did not have to go but a few blocks, so since it just began, gave it a go. Got my one item, Came right back home, no browsing, . That was an hour ago, and of course, it has stopped snowing..........no idea if it will start again. But the forecast says snow every day for the coming week......so maybe will be short snowfalls, like this one. LOL
Was awake all night myself, but finally dozed off around 3:30, only to be wide awake at 5. Sheesh.

P.S. I did not know you could get electrolytes all by themselves. Learn something new all the time here.

Small Vinne Santa.jpg

Have a good evening.
OC I hope you are feeling better soon.

If you saw the movie "Wonder", you may want to see sort the sequel to it called "White Bird".
It's on DVD now if you get movies at the library. You have to pay Amazon Prime to watch it.

robin, thanks for posting the Santa pic.

Poirot, maybe you can get to church tomorrow if the streets are ok.
