I hope everyone remembered to change their clocks yesterday since Daylight Savings Time ended

I changed, the microwave, the stove and the bedroom clock last night.... still have to do the car..... HB was given the living room clock and his car neither of those are changed..... I have to take the computer out and watch a you-tube video on how to change the clock in the Subaru......I told my son that yesterday, he said he needs to watch a video each time too.... he also has a Subaru..... It's deep inside the computer, it's insane how many steps to get to the clock feature then make sure you get the hour, then the minutes which you will mess up because you hit the wrong flipper..... I purchased the car in Arizona and they don't change time so November 2023 and March 2024 have been the only times I've had to do it and November of 2023, the car was in the shop for an oil change and I had them do it..... Now it's up to me.... yuck.....

Yesterday's rain storm gave us somewhere between 3-4 inches of rain.... it rained all day.... the BEAST had issues with wet ground so this starts now... rain returns this afternoon and will continue into Monday.....

Have a peaceful Sunday everyone....

I changed my manual clocks Sat afternoon and used the new time to go to bed. I woke
up a couple of times during the night.

I checked the forecast when I woke and saw rain at 8 so I could walk. As I was getting breakfast
ready, I heard thunder and forecast changed. I changed clothes quickly to get my paper.
There was heavy rain a couple of times. There's going to be break in rain after 1 and I plan
to take a walk.

The ditch is full of water since the water from my downspouts go there now. More rain tonight
and tomorrow.

robin, you might to get the Beast rain boots to go outside.

Poirot, I hope you can stay up until bedtime.

Wishing everyone a relaxing rest of the day.

Saw that Stonehenge thing this morning, cracked me up. Yeah, I changed all the clocks in the afternoon, except the car, but the body just would not listen to the GO TO SLEEP order. LOL, actually, I did fall asleep quickly, but woke around 2, dozed off til 3 and no more sleep. Out of bed just before 6, Am tired. Then, at church, priest announces that instead of coffee and donuts after mass, we are having LUNCH! oH, my gosh was it ever good, and truly perfect. Small rolls, shredded hot beef, a sort of potato salad but made in the oven, so it was warm, cole slaw, a sort of scrambled egg dish, again, made in the oven. fruit salad, and another salad which was flavored, colored tiny marshmallows. Either peach cobbler or blueberry cake (w/whipped cream)for desert! There was even a big bowl of cantelope chunks, grapes, pineapple pieces. Was amazing and delicious......plus a surprise!

I forgot I had the facility keys in my pocket last night, so I had to drive back to work. I was sleepy this morning. Still made it to church. I picked up coffee and a sausage and cheese kolache and some doughnut holes. Alas, the coffee was broken again....but we were celebrating the church's 110th anniversary and I was determined to be there. After church I went to Luby's they are closing after Thanksgiving day and I wanted to get my favs while I had the chance. Took half of it home.

I was anticipating a quiet evening, but got asked to come to work.....a coworker's family member is critically I'll and not expected to make it. That I would work for that reason is an easy yes. Watching watching for schedule changes because she may need a few days.

I have a check list for all the clocks I have to change, plus my answering machine. Yes, I still have one of those.

I like it getting light out earlier but not getting dark out earlier, around 5:30 pm in NY.

LOL, around the same time here, as well. Sorry if I am repeating myself, but several years ago, I drove down to Chicago, end of October, and was really surprised it was still rather light there at 6 p.m. when it was pitch dark here at that time.

Ah, Poirot, can't beat that kind of a surprise! It's great to get food without having to prepare it.

Sorry you didn't get your relaxing evening, Sexton, but you are right, it's for a cause you couldn't refuse. Do you get any time to relax while at work or is it the kind of thing that keeps you busy all the time?

Kat, I sure wouldn't want the job of setting those Stonehenge clocks! Haha! But it might be nearly as possible as me setting some of the vehicle clocks. Even after you reminded me yesterday I almost forgot to change mine last night.

Once again I wrote this hours ago but got on the phone for a while and also had to do some texting (ugh) with the hunter about some cows he saw in this pasture where there should be no cows. Figured out they belong to a neighbor.

Wilde Woman, I still have an answering machine too--and analog clocks and wall calendars! I'd be lost without any of those to the same degree most people today would be lost without their cell phones.

Robin, I have grandchildren with sensory disorders. Vinnie makes me think he may have the doggie version of something like that. My niece also has a dog that does not like getting his feet wet and a horse that can't stand getting rained on. I never knew animals were so complicated until spending time hearing about all her animals.

Poirot, I'm waiting to see what time it turns dark here. It's been so heavily overcast here today, hard to tell. I imagine a few hours in the right direction would make a difference, like you going to Chicago.

I've had 4.5" of rain in the past 24 hours! Don't know if there's more to come yet or not. Most of it came overnight last night. Electricity went out a few times. Linemen had to come. It went off and on again today a few times but didn't stay off. Lots of lightning and thunder last night and this afternoon. Rained really hard, horizontally. But now the tank I can see from my house looks wonderful.

OC, MR. Gus also hated getting his feet wet. He'd vault over water going down the street gutters to avoid getting his feet wet. My Appaloosa Mare Tina also hated getting her feet wet. We'd ride to a local damn that had an area put aside for swimming with horses, and dogs, I could ride part of the way when we got to the creek we had to cross I always had to go up on the road and cross via the pavement because she wouldn't get her feet wet. Needless to say we never went swimming with the rest of the crew....
I just figured it was me, I attracted critters that hate getting their footsies damp....

How funny, Robin. That bull surprised me by being so playful. I expected him to tear into that ball with his horns. Now I'm thinking it would be fun to get a ball like that and have it waiting in my yard for when my cows get moved back to this pasture around my house.
I enjoyed hearing about your horse. I guess there are more water-shy animals around than I had ever imagined. But if Mr. Gus fell into that category too, I can see how you might wonder how you end up with so many of them. :)
