Ahhh, yes. woke up early this morning, wondering why it seemed lighter out side.....oh still dark but not as dark as usual......and there it was.....the winter wonderland, white roofs and ground......yep, you know .....that white stuff called SNOW! Everything covered. Was nice of Muzza to share with me! LOL.........Wasn't snowing when I went to bed, but it sure had a ball in the wee hours while everyone slept. LOL
So far, not a lot, just enough to coat everything. However, what fell on concrete seems to have melted..........It is currentlu 32°.......am sure it will go up a bit, a tiny bit. Tomorrow will only have a high of 28......down the temp goes, as by Friday.....the high will be 18!!!! Brrrr!

Good morning everyone,

We've had a relatively mild, beautiful fall so far here, although extremely dry, but a few rainy days have paved the way for wind and colder weather. Still have some leaves changing color on the trees, but probably only have another two weeks or so till they're all gone.

I've been super busy as of late, gotten another job (program coordinator at a think-tank, but it's work from home), promoting my newly-published book, and busy with my usual work as well.

I also went on a trip to LA to visit family, go to Catalina Island, and then 7-day cruise to Mexico (Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlan). Hadn't been to Cabo since I was 12, and never been to the other two places. It was for my one-year anniversary with my boyfriend...whom I proposed to on the first day we set sail (which was our anniversary). He said yes! He'd never been on a cruise before, or to that side of Mexico, or to LA, so we had plenty of days enjoying the sea and warm weather, seeing the sights in LA, and he met my family (everyone got along super well). We also moved in together finally, after months of fixer-upper stuff, moving, etc. Still some work to be done, which is keeping us busy, but both very excited for the next chapter of our lives and our families are super happy.

I hope y'all have a great Thanksgiving week, staying warm and dry, and safe for those of you who live in the path of those hurricanes a few weeks back...really tragic and scary what happened.

Mazel Tov DaysD!!!! That is so exciting for you and your just starting out family...... whatever you do don't take DiMera relationship advice.....

A breezy and sunny 49 degrees right now. Lots of pigeon action on the balcony. Several black-and-white birds, plump ones, cooing away. I cooed back, and they left. Is it something I cooed?

Poirot: Glad you got just a coating of snow and nothing more.

Muzza: Fingers crossed that you get a warm up.

DaysD: Kudos on your engagement!

Robin: I am sure you will get a more intense wintry mix eventually...be careful what you wish for:)

Monday is here, let's all cheer (not)!

It's been cloudy here all day. The high was this morning when we walked. 58. It's in the 40s now.
It's going to be in the 20s in the AM.

A busy morning at the church. I'll be going back Friday to put out holiday envelopes. Even though
I don't have Bible class this week, I have homework for two weeks.

DayD, congrats on your engagement.

Poirot, I hope you can get any errands done before it gets cold.

robin, I'm glad you got your holiday lights up with the weather was nice.

Wilde Woman, maybe you cooed shoo :)

I hope everyone has a good rest of the day.

Been snowing off and on all day, very lightly, and very fine snow. It wasn't in the forecast here, and isn't showing on the grass under the big pine trees. weather report yesterday evening did talk of snow in Duluth, but said Wisconsin would not get any, just probably rain.............Goes to show how we never know........LOL

Good afternoon--or evening, I guess, for some of you already. Temperature when I got up was around 40* but that wasn't early so it must have been in the 30s* earlier. High was about 44*. Cloudy, and quite windy out of the north. Glad it was dry but still too nippy for me. I had to get out a couple of times and made it as brief as possible. Son's family is not coming until tomorrow afternoon. They had some orders delivered here. Two came today and got left at my front gates, near the mailbox so I drove down there and got them. Two more coming tomorrow but may be too heavy for me to handle but they'll probably be all right until my son arrives. Today I'm washing my sheets and trying to tie up some loose ends of getting things in order.

Inquiring want to know..........How did you know the pkgs. came and were at your front gates???

Only asking because we get no advance notice here, and I have found a pkg outside near the door, fortunately was still under the short overhead. Once they dropped one right outside, I was standing near the door, they did not even press the door bell once. (This is usually Fed Ex. ) However, I found pkgs on the ground near the mailbox when I lived in the country, and the mailbox was 1/2 from the house! Heck, snow, rain, etc. did not matter.......they did NOT ever come down the road, and no one ever called. Once, a down the highway neighbor Saw a pkg on the ground, called me to let me know. Currently, I have one of about a dozen mail boxes all in one large container. The nice thing is there is one very large mail box that will accomodate pkgs too big for regular mail box. It has a key, and that key will show up in your regular box, thus you can get it easily. Otherwise you get a card, telling you a pkg is at the P.O. for you. Ahhh, such fun in small towns. LOL

Poirot, Kat is right. My son got the notification and sent me an e-mail. But when it's something I've ordered myself I can see when it's been delivered by looking at the order and clicking on the tracking option. That tells me when it's been delivered but it doesn't tell me where they put it. However, my son did show me how to find that detail but I've forgotten. Will have to ask him and write down a reminder of it while he's here.

I don't know why some drivers do come to my house but some of them don't. It's aggravating that the ones who do deliver to the house never ring my doorbell or knock. A couple of weeks ago my computer said a package had been delivered but I couldn't find it anywhere. Looked and watched for it for days. I rarely go out my front door but I do look through the glass and the package never showed up there. One day after we'd had the heavy rain I happened to step out onto the porch for something--glanced down to the ground next to the porch, and there was the package, sitting in water! It was just a cheap tube of lip moisturizer and was in one of the white "plastic" bags, about 4"x 6". But the tube was wet when I opened it up so I didn't want to use it.
My mailbox is 1/4 of a mile but there are hills and trees in between so the house can't be seen from the road. I think some with the bigger trucks are reluctant to go into a driveway without knowing where it will end or what the conditions might be for turning around, etc.
