Good morning and hope you're all well. I ended up shovelling my driveway 8xs yesterday. It would've been quite the workout if I didn't keep up on it. Some of you saw already but this was at about 4pm yesterday.By 1pm yesterday, Calgary had accumulated 24cm (9.449 inches) of snow.

The snow has stopped and my part husky is loving running through the deep snow with the zoomies.

Mike's parents are here and leaving tomorrow back to Vernon, B.C. We got all of our Christmas shopping done and wrapped for his family and they'll be taking everything back with them. Feels so good to be done with that.

Stay safe and warm.

It's sunny, windy and will be in the 70s this afternoon.

I went out and put some of the concrete dust in the my trash can. Not the best day to do that with the
wind. I was going to take out canna bulbs this afternoon, but the wind will be worse later. Tuesday is a
free day for me so I'll go out that day.

Muzzaman, is it unusual to get that much snow all at once? I'm glad someone is enjoy the snow.

I hope everyone has a pleasant rest of the day.

It is a sunny and blustery 50 degrees. Staying in to clean and catch up on network shows' Fall Finales. Have to wait until January for new episodes of various shows on NBC and possibly other networks. Frustrating, especially with intense cliffhangers.

Muzza: Thank you for that amazing photo. It is beautiful to look at, but living with it is challenging, I am sure. Congrats on getting so much done so early in the season!

Kat: Sounds like you are still having warmish weather. Glad you got rid of some of that concrete dust.

Let's all enjoy the last Sunday of the month. Can't believe I am even stating this.

Good morning..... I fear today is our last pretty day..... we have a breeze, but then it is Kansas...Yesterday I missed an author signing I wanted to go to, but did get a gift autographed for a friend's gift.....that took a bit longer than anticipated and after running into the pharmacy not being open when I was at the store yesterday was busy. We did empty out all of the storage boxes from the unit to the office here inside the house. I will work on emptying them Friday and Saturday and then the containers go back to the new storage unit and MAYBE some of HB's saved favorite boxes can go to the old unit and he can get his car in the garage...... that is my dream.....to not have to walk on the slippery driveway this winter to get to his car.... I know it's a dream almost a fantasy...... but it's my dream.....

Good Sunday to everyone...... power just went out.... I'll post when I can.....

Kat, it is unusual to get this much snow this early in the year. However, forecasters predicted that with la Nina we will get more than the usual amount this year.

Wilde, enjoy your stay in cozy day inside. When the sun is shining like it is today, it makes for a very pretty winter scene.

Robin, that is a very nice and thoughtful gift. I'm sure your friend will enjoy it.

I hope RF has a better day today and everything turns out well.

Am back from church, and not quite warmed up, tho it's been over an hour. I had decided to perhaps wear a skirt & sweater, so donned hose, dress flats (no snow here today) wool short coat........and what a mistake. My legs were so cold when I left church, then had a problem opening my car door (which I didn't lock, but somehow it locked...must have accidentally hit the button when keys in my coat pocket. So I go to the supermarket, but just could not warm up, and then, well.....when you are in the fresh meat area, or frozen food aisles.....nothing but cold air. I just had to get out of there, lol, and I did, and just went home........and took off the skirt and hose, got into the warmer knee socks and slacks, even put on the space heater near my desk. LOL. TV is hard for me on weekends as tis all sports every station, NFL, high school, college...........all day yesterday (and evening). today, too. And that leaves me just the Hallmark channels. LOL Well, cold is here to stay, will only get worse, so just go with the flow, I know.
Won't be long before we'll all be in boots constantly up here. sigghhh.

Am guessing my feet must have expanded a bit, as......my shoes (which have shoelaces) fit fine with hose, when I don the warmer socks, shoe is tight. Oh, can get it on the foot, but.....tis tight. Have a black pair in leather, one in suede...........and it surprised me. Ah, amazing what changes even one year can make.
And..then... we have NO shoe store here in town, nearest is 65 miles......and I do not drive far any more. Thus one is left with ordering on line (no catalogs, either). Have a friend who talks of going up to Duluth, or down to Eau Claire (and their malls) but.........her son lives with her now, and yep, his her chauffeur......lucky her. She is younger than me, but used to complain about having to drive out of town to shop. Oh, well......such is life.

Snow is beautiful, but I do not like cold weather at all. I live in Tennessee and the weather here is too cold for me. I would love to move to Sydney Australia where my daughter and family live, but my husband and I have lived in the Nashville area all our lives.

Poirot, are you allowed to wear slacks in church? I don't wear dresses anymore so when I went
to church I wore nice pants. I wouldn't wear jeans though.

I wish your family lived closer to you to take you shopping.

Good afternoon. It's sunny and warm today but too windy to spend time outside. I think my son and his family will be here tomorrow so I need to get some of the clutter out of sight so that it doesn't get scattered around, causing more work for me in the end. Wanting to take a nap but it's too late for that anyway.
The guy never did come to try see if there are snakes under my guest house and to close up the hole that goes under there. Guess I need to go out there and put some moth balls in the hole, since I don't know what else to do, and the weather is supposed to start getting worse tomorrow.

Freezing and windy today. Took a trip to see my grandson today and dragged along my son as he always asks where Uncle Simon is. Perfect as he entertained the little one and I got some actual time to chat with my daughter. Now I'm home hiding under a heated blanket. No snow yet just brrrrr

@kat.........yes, we can wear slacks, pants and usually I do.......just wore the skirt on a whim. Big mistake, for sure. I have a closet full of skirts, 2 pc. dresses, couple of suits..........don't wear them any more.....thus the "who knows why" whim. I probably should make a bundle and take to the Salvation Army here......tho most women here mostly wear pants now.

P.S. Today Hallmark seems to be doing reruns of their "good" shows during the week. Guess they figure only thing against all the football games. LOL Do any of you get more than one different Hallmark channel? We used to get just the regular......but now there are 3.......they added a "family" one, which is aimed so the young ones in a family can watch.....and the "mystery" one.
Am guessing we really won't be seeing "new" snows anywhere until after the lst of the brand new year.

Poirot, before I got The Hopper with Dish, and had a larger package, I had 3 Hallmark channels. Didn't know I got any of them with the Hopper and a slightly smaller package until I looked for it about a week ago and found I have at least 2 Hallmarks and maybe 3. (I forget). I need to go back and write down the numbers and maybe put them in my "favorites" list, even though I won't watch them that often--just once in a while.

Awhile back I started dragging old clothes, including some dresses and skirts, out of my storage building, and have been wearing some of them to church from time to time, though I still wear pants most of the time and almost nobody I know around here wears dresses. My church is so small, just a small number of older people, living in a farming/ranching community and have known each other just about forever. We wear all kinds of pants--from nice ones to casual ones, and yes, sometimes even jeans. One 87 year-old lady often wears jeans and her most comfortable old cowboy boots. I didn't think I'd ever wear jeans to church, and don't often, but it kinda comes down to knowing the people around you. I don't think any of us would do it if we thought anyone there would be offended. The biggest hurdle for me was decades ago when women first started wearing pants to church. It seemed so strange at the time.

Poirot, I would have sent this private message but I don't know how.
I've read your posts of being afraid of falling on ice...I was exactly the same until I heard about spike boots. They are warm winter boots that have optional retractable spikes in the souls. They have been truly life savers for me.
I bought a pair for my hubby as well but he said they looked feminine. I was too late to get a refund.
So, long story longer lol...what is your boot size. I offer you them for free including shipping.
Please let me know.

Robin, I would love to do that with my cows! Since seeing the other video with the ball, I've been seriously thinking about getting one to put in my yard when the cows get moved over here. I think they would push it around so long as there's nobody outside but I'm pretty sure if I went out there to join in their game they would freak out and take off.
