Wacky weather in my part of the world. We got rain but others got snow. Some as much as six inches! Very cold and windy. It is 39 now. I think we will get more rain later, and that is fine with me. Need to keep this wet streak going and get out of the drought.

Glad my work week is almost over.

Good morning.....and very chilly here. Lost my internet for a couple hours this morning, no idea the why, suddenly cut off and just as suddenly, returned. No idea if it was just my area, or more wide spread. Getting closer to Thanksgiving.......my son is coming and we are going out....He did not want me to have to cook......Last time, a few years ago, he could not believe I cooked such a huge meal for just the two of us. It was just a month after my husband had passed. He figures Mom needs a break from those big meals, I guess. Our weather is getting colder, with weather persons unable to decide if a cold rain, or perhaps snow is on the way. Oh, for sure, snow will be coming, but currently, except for one snow day, just a few cold rain showers. Fingers crossed. What I really don't want is the ice that comes. So scared of falling. Guarantee I am very careful, and do not venture outside by foot at all in the bad weather.

Beautiful weather here, though mornings are nippy. It's been in the 30s* the past few mornings but sunny and mild for the day, without much wind. Perfect for calling my cows. We got what seemed to be the rest this morning. Problem is, you never know if they've left babies behind. Will have to make trips over there late and early in the day to see if anyone's looking over the fence and bawling.

Handyman is here. I'm trying to stay out of his hair because we've become such good friends, it's easy for us to start talking and I don't need to be a distraction to him.
 
It's sunny and in the 50s this afternoon after a brisk morning. Warmer this weekend.

I went to lunch with former Sunday school ladies today. We did today since ballgame in town tomorrow.
When I got home, the driveway men gone. Today they used a concrete saw and made lines in the concrete.
The jackhammer didn't do much yesterday. Since concrete left in driveway, I drove in my garage. Hopefully,
job will be all done before Dec 3 since neighbor coming that day for some reason.

Wilde Woman, I hope you rain and not the white stuff.

Poirot, were you able to get some shopping done before bad weather comes.

OC, I hope you got all the cows and calves.

Ahhhh, within the next hour the Christmas City of the North parade begins.....yes, up in Duluth, MN, where our TV comes from. Lots of news of MN, not much of Wisconsin. Surprised me, when I moved here, but that is the way it is. They refer to the station as serving the Twin Ports (meaning Duluth MN, and Superior, WI.......lol. I once wrote the station asking why they say it, when they never mention Superior or Wisconsin. The station actually called me, (the 2 cities are next to each other, Lake Superior. Told them they cover Duluth very well, but rarely Superior or Wisconin.....and if they claim to cover the twin ports, then they should do so, even if the station itself is located in Duluth. Guess they took my comments to heart, (guessing they did not have reporter visiting Superior or anyone gathering news from WI), but.......they did begin reporting news from Wi. LOL.
That was several years ago, and they have improved a lot since then. When we moved here, heck, Duluth was the only place one could shop for anything......other than groceries. There was not even a supermarket here. We've come a long way since then, for sure.
 
I thought I'd been here today..... but guess not....
we were 29 fun degrees this morning.... 29!!!! Vinnie of course can't go potty without someone with him... at 6:30 in a tee shirt that's freaking cold.... I will set out the warm shirt and pants to pull on before going out with him again..... then as I'm typing up the summary Vinnie had a barking fest....HB was in his room listening to NPR sending me articles and stories.... knowing I was watching the show and typing up the summary.... then I showered and was ready to go, I've been to 3 grocery stores, still have the liquor store and Costco to hit.... but I'm in for the night.....

Our weather guesser last night said if everything moves correctly then we could have the dreaded "S" word for Thanksgiving....eek....

I hope the Canadians will stay safe with all the snow. I'm seen pictures on Twitter
how bad it's getting.
