A sunny 55 degrees. As much as I like the sun, will enjoy the rain more. We are finally due for some on Thursday.

Today's let's celebrate talk show host Dick Cavett's 88th birthday. I always enjoyed his intelligent program and the class act he was when interviewing his guests.

Agree about Dick Cavett's ability to do wonderful interviews, always enjoyed his shows.........

Rained here during the early wee hours of the morning continuing on, making puddles, etc. It stopped for a bit, sun peered out for about 5 minutes, and it has clouded up again, getting darker. No idea what the rest of the day will bring. Maybe the temp drop that is to come tomorrow will arrive sooner than expected??? Who knows. But last night on the weather report, the TV host said something about snow in Wisconsin, but rain up in Duluth (north of here). Like I've said.....never know what to expect and neither do the weather reporters. LOL

Thanks for starting the thread, Wilde Woman. I know who Dick Cavett is but I don't think I ever watched him. Had no idea of his age or that he was still living, just figured he had to be at least my age or older.

Poirot, I hope you don't have to go out. It sounds a bit messy in your area, regardless of how the weather goes from here on.

Sunny and mild here, overnight lows in 60s*, high in 70s*. Best of all, not much wind today or tomorrow.

I've been in the kitchen. Got a phone call yesterday and didn't get my soup made so I'm doing that now but had to sit down and rest my back. I think our trip to bring a pickup truck out here is off (a relief), as it isn't running reliably so my niece may have it towed. My handyman is coming first thing tomorrow to finish up a couple of things he didn't get to when he was here nearly two months ago. I need to do some cleanup before then.

Wishing everyone a good day with whatever weather you need.

It's sunny and close to 70 this afternoon. Plant outside. Tomorrow will be colder.

I did my studies this morning to work outside this afternoon. I didn't stay out as long as I thought I would.
I got the cover on the other outside faucet. Then I raked up needles. I thought I would rake two cans and
only did one since on that side of yard is mushy. I raked needles out of my neighbor's yard. There are a lot of
needles left in the tree.

Wilde Woman, I hope you get rain.

Poirot, I hope you won't have to go out in the nasty weather.

OC, I hope your handyman comes tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a pleasant afternoon.

Good morning all,
I, too, enjoyed Dick Cavett. I was a big fan.
Another wind storm headed our way this afternoon. I'm supposed to go to the north end of the island early tomorrow morning for a dental appointment. We'll see. I called them yesterday and left a message saying I don't drive during high winds. They haven't called back. If we are still in the midst of the storm tomorrow morning I will stay home. If they charge me, they charge me. It isn't worth risking my life.
Stay safe and warm, everyone.

I went out for the mail, but took the car, even tho just a short distance. The thermometer says 50, but it feels like 35 My hands are still cold, and they only were exposed to outside when I rolled car window down, put key in mail box, pulled out mail, closed up. Heck, even my face is still cold. Tomorrow the bigger change arrives......I intended to get to store so I don't have to go tomorrow........but it is not very welcoming out there. Hmmm, the su permarket used to have a thing where you could order online, and then come and pick up........I wonder..........tho am not liking to try and order meat...........hard to do when you are just one person..........unless you do it in person...........will see.

At an actual computer and not tapping on my phone..... I enjoyed watching Dick Cavett, he had some really interesting guests on. You had to actually pay attention.....
Soccer was fun today.... I have Wednesday off well from soccer, but have an early morning doctor's appointment for my dupuytren's not surprisingly cold weather seems to make it even more uncomfortable....
back to soccer on Thursday and I'm taking Saturday the final championship games off.....I have two different autograph deals one early morning one late afternoon. fingers crossed I get them both done.... Both autographs are for Christmas presents.....

Hope your Tuesday nights are going well..... we are all ready in the low 50's....

Good evening everyone. It has been a busy few days even though I'm on vacation. Helping out a friend with getting her young grandson to and from school plus dinner and homework help after that. After dinner tonight, we drove around to look at the Christmas lights and displays that are already up. By then my friend was home so dropped off her grandson. I'm more than ready to go to bed now.

Oh no, not snow, Poirot! We're having our first 30s* tonight but no freezing yet.

Robin, is the grandson playing in these soccer games? Or is it something other than a school? Hope you get relief for your hands.

Squirrel, that was so nice of you to help out with the friend's little grandson. Hope you get good rest tonight.

Loved seeing the playful reindeer. I bet those little hooves could be sharp and dangerous when they are threatened.

@Old Cowgirl no this is strictly volunteer gig. I started volunteering for these folks last year. I hope to get more indoor basket ball and wrestling events get away from the cold soon. Other than when we have the finals for the Olympic Figure skating in town. I really want to work that. Today's games were played in cold weather. Yesterdays games were played in rain and wind.

robin, I wish I lived closer. I would love to see Olympic figure skating.

rs, hopefully, you'll get some Me time in.
