Hello. Guess I kinda dropped out for a day or so. I have lots of things coming up so my limited attention has been on how to go about getting them done.
Robin, that cow almost looked like sliding down a hill was a routine thing for her. Too funny. You never can tell about cows. They sometimes do the strangest things and appear to take pleasure in doing so. You know, it's great that you love walking in cold rain with a dog.....Haha!
Brisbydog, those Highland Cows sure seem to have risen in popularity lately. I'm seeing them a lot of social media. But I've never seen one in person. Angus cattle are by far the most popular ones around here, though there are other traditional breeds as well.
Wilde Woman, I thought I saw on tv that rain was headed your way. I hope it didn't miss you.
Cookies Mom, it's good seeing you here. Hope you were able to get into your pants! I'd gladly take a few pounds if you have some to spare but unfortunately pounds are like rain-- impossible to share.
Well, Sexton, stinkin' on it, when ARE you going to get some time off?
Poirot and Muzz, looks like it's time for each of you to hunker down.
Lil0, you've almost cured me of complaining about wind. It seems to be so much worse where you are.
Kat, if you're getting rain from Oklahoma, I bet it's what came through here last night, as it was heading that direction. The wind didn't get nearly as bad as they were predicting so I hope it won't be bad for you either.
Our wind probably didn't get much over 30mph last night (and has continued today but will stop by tonight), though the various forecasters were wildly predicting anywhere from 40 to 80 mph!
So thankful that didn't happen. I did get 1.4" of rain, which is drying up quickly with the wind and sun working on it. Looks like the rest of the week will bring pleasant weather.
I think my traveling son and family will be here next Monday or Tuesday. They're in Mississippi now to visit a couple of days with old friends. Also they have two more families to visit between there and here. I've got "errands" in several towns in different directions to get done, including helping my niece move a pickup truck from 90 miles away to her place. I'll take her there and follow back as she drives the truck. Need to get to another town and renew licenses on my truck and two trailers and pay taxes, all of which I started out to do a couple of weeks ago. Have to pick up a prescription in the other direction. We have to get our cows moved before they are to be worked in the first week of December, and this needs to be done in increments. Things to do at home. Yet here I sit. Now I'm going to try to make some soup for supper.
