Today we celebrate homemade bread! I love bread but have never baked it myself. Maybe I should give it a try. The worst that can happen is that I burn it or undercook it:)

Another beautiful day, 61, wind has died down. It looks like we might have a good rainfall on Thursday, hope the weather forecasters are right.

Everyone have a great day, whether you bake bread or buy it in a store.

I wish I knew how to make bread. I loved the smell when my mom made it.

It's partly cloudy or partly sunny today depending on what time it is. It's in the 70s today.
Rain tonight/tomorrow and back in the 60s. Later in week, highs in the 50s.

I hope everyone has a good day before the new work week.
 
My mom made delicious bread, and agree with Kat about the smell being just heavenly. She was a really good cook, but unfortunately, no recipes. I swear, that generation just went by memory. And whatever we learned, was from watching her. LOL....However my sis and I did have one task when baking or cooking was going on.........Washing the dishes, pots and pans. !!! And I will never forget the time I roasted my first turkey (or maybe it was a chicken) and mom was there for dinner, at one point asking me what I did with the gizzards. etc., I said there wasn't any. She insisted there had to be (she loved that stuff) and sure enough there was, still in the nice paper pouch, inside the bird, all nicely roasted. !!!! Yep, mom evidently always took care of that before I came into the kitchen, so never saw it. Oh, yes, definitely learned a lesson that day, never happened again, guarantee you.
 
Hello Sunday people..... I way overslept and had 25 minutes to shower dress and get in the car to work the soccer match..... no time to stop in here.... it was cold but not as bad as the games on Wednesday.....
Tomorrow it will be a sort of repeat, but in rain. We have a 100% chance of rain for Monday. Cool, cold and wet. Can hardly wait.......I will not oversleep and will get the summary out before leaving....

I love baking yeast bread and fruit bread, I have two pie pumpkins ready to halve taking the seeds out and bake them after baking the pumpkin till soft so I can make walnut pumpkin desert bread.... on non working Fridays, I make my own pizza dough....
