11/15/24 - Donuts and Beaver Moon

Amazing, Kat, thanks for posting!

Another sunny day, 52, no rain in sight. I remember a time when I complained about too much rain, and now I take it back. There was a fire in a park in upper Manhattan. One reporter on TV demonstrated how they can be sparked. There was actually one case of arson by a teenager. How very sad and disturbing. The young man was caught and will face charges.

Let's all make the most of the day and hope that weather conditions around the country improve.

Good late morning early afternoon..... the moon was SOOOOOOOO bright last night......I swear I could have read a book outside... a book book not my kindle that is lit so I can read it anywhere.... eye doctor appointment today...... then Costco if possible..... my son called he needed a favor.... he's a nut case but it will all work out well in the end.... he was at work when he called so it's a work related favor.....

I'm thinking a nice hot cup of cider would be nice about now......

Happy upcoming weekend to all....

It's sunny and close to 70.

Before going out doing errands, I washed rags and towels. Hopefully they will dry outside. I can put on
dryer rack if I need to. I went out and watered the grass seed. It didn't work well since the hose doesn't
have a washer and I got wet. The seeds got a drink. Rain maybe Mon.

Wilde Woman, I hope you get rain soon.

robin, I hope your eye exam went well and enjoy your cider.

I hope everyone has a nice rest of the day and pleasant weekend.

bEAUTIFUL sunny day, 50°, no wind. Was home all day, and yet when I looked at my phone a little while ago, a friend had called me 4 times!!! Now the phone was on the charger in the bedroom, and I was in kitchen or else here in this little office space.........did not hear the phone ring at all. I know I have a slight loss in hearing, but it does seem odd. Then again, when my son gifted me with the cell........I lost my land line, as he kindly thought that putting that phone # on the cell, I would never miss a call, etc. etc. but, I am not one to have my cell on me all the time...........and if I get my land line phones activated I would have a different phone number, and no one would have it. Grrrrrr.

Poirot, my head nearly exploded when I read about your phone issue. I don't think I would ever get over it if that happened to me. I know your son had good intentions and God bless him for that. But they can't conceive of how some of us aren't tied to our cell phones like most of the world is. My youngest son has tried so optimistically to bring me into the world of cell phones. He was so sure an iPhone would make it easier for me but it was just the opposite, harder for me than the androids I'd had before. I think he kinda gave up on me once he realized that. I'm also like you about hearing my phone. I usually don't hear mine unless I happen to be in the room with it. Robin's suggestion is funny but makes sense. Maybe I'll see if it works for me.

Kat, 70* is getting a little cool to be getting sprayed with a water hose!

Robin, I think it's kinda nice that your son seeks out your advice/help.

Wilde Woman, I finally saw on the national news about the drought in your area. Wild fires are dreadful and it's sad that so many of them are started by somebody on purpose.

Kat, I could see around my curtains early this morning that it was really bright outside but I didn't look out for the moon. I did see it when it first came up this evening. It was nice and bright, and I always enjoy a full moon, but I was a little disappointed that it didn't have that orange color that full moons often have when they are low in the evening sky. It was very light and bright.

I was in the kitchen all morning, but all my meals were late because I was up in the night, then went back to sleep finally and got up after 8:00. In the afternoon my daughter called while she was walking her dog. Then my hunter manager lady came by to bring me some signed papers and we had a nice visit.

Betty White is nice but I'll be buying the baby wildlife.

Sexton, I'm sorry your niece's husband has the pneumonia. Thanks for the update. I'm also sorry you missed out on your days off.

rf, sorry to hear about your niece's husband. I hope he'll get better soon. Sorry you missed your days off
again. I hope they will do something nice for you. Will you be working Thanksgiving?

OC, when I looked inside the hose, I noticed no washer inside. Probably part of the dripping problem.
I found some on Amazon to order.

Hey O.C. want to know how long I sat here FIRST, before posting, trying to find virbration button on my phone? LOLOL

I have no idea what the difference is............I have a Verizon phone. I also have a tracfone......but I never got more time after I was gifted with the Verizon. I only know I do NOT have Apple, lol.

Poirot, :rotfl: , I know the feeling.

Robin, mine is an iPhone. Androids were somewhat easier for me but my kids talked me into getting an iPhone last year. Every time I turn it on, something different comes up and apparently you have to somehow mysteriously know to use a certain number of fingers or swipe sideways or downwards.....and on and on, to know how to do things, when nothing on the screen actually says anything or gives an obvious indication of what to do.

And now you know I don't have a smart phone. It wouldn't last a week in my house.
I like having my landline with extension phones
