Good morning. Sunny and windy here, will be in the 70s*.
Wishing for everyone to be giving and receiving kindness.
Sorry snow season is upon you, Poirot. Yeah, hunters enjoy it and apparently they also enjoy rain as well. Last weekend some of them had a fine time driving their big 4wd vehicles through the muddy pasture roads, after all that rain we had. I know it's not their fault the roads are muddy and I don't expect them to not come because of it, but they don't have to enjoy tearing up the roads so much! It's part of their entertainment.
Wilde Woman, people in your area would probably welcome some mud right now, just to get the rain. I know that feeling too.
I've got a new problem now. Yesterday afternoon I encountered a rattlesnake out close to my little guesthouse. It was medium size, maybe three feet long, and well fed. After flaring up, with upper body standing up like a cobra, while rattling alarmingly loud--even for a hearing-diminished person like me--and glaring at me viciously, it swirled around and rapidly slithered into a hole going under the tiny house, which the skunk dug last winter and I've been trying to get sealed up ever since. It's especially disturbing because I don't know how many more snakes may be under there (you can't see underneath), and my family will be coming in a couple of weeks for Thanksgiving. I called my mower guy, who also captures snakes, this morning and he's going to come take a look when he gets time and see if there's any way he can deal with it. I think he smokes snakes out sometimes so I'm hoping he can do something like that.
