just sunning himself in the early morning sun.... beast was very busy doing his morning business that he didn't notice and then ran inside quickly for more ball chasing.... for size he is bigger than a golf ball but smaller than a tennis ball.... much bigger than last time we saw him..... last time he could sit on a 50 cent piece with room to spare.....
Last night's football game was against the west side Catholic Church.... wow.... a wealthy church school they had a game board that showed the game in color!! a great announcer and it was packed..... and we lost 52 to 21...... our quarterback was injured in the 2nd quarter but honestly even if he played the rest of the game it wouldn't have made a difference.

Good Saturday to all..... May your day be as productive as you want it to be....

Wow, isn't this toad getting his seasons mixed up? Or maybe he's old and about to disappear? Where do they go during the winter anyway? I know practically nothing about toads.

Sorry your team lost last night, Robin. Hope the quarterback guy is going to be okay.

I woke up at 4:00, got up for two hours, went back to bed for another two hours or so. Not moving very fast. Guess I'll wash my sheets and spend some time in the kitchen. My supply of "cooked up" stuff is about depleted. I need to have things on hand to heat up in a hurry.

It's still sunny but a little cooler today, will be in low 90s*, I think.

It's sunny and will be close to 90 today.

It's hard having a cold when it's warm outside. I felt overdressed at Walmart because a lot
of people wearing shorts when it was in the 50. I slept with my blanket on high last night
wearing flannel PJs. I'm feel a little better, but now have different symptoms.

robin, sorry the team lost. Is Vinnie happy the toad back?

OC, I think toads sleep under the mulch in my flowerbed. I see one every so often.

I hope everyone has a good Sat.

Walmart keeps their stores so cool/cold, you were lucky you were dressed for it. Trust me, those in shorts, sleeveless tops were freezing and not happy. People usually dress for the weather outside, so suffer when they go into a store. I've seen people leave their carts near the door, go outside to warm up! I take a jacket with me, yes a light one, if I am gonna stop in at Walmart or the supermarket (which isn't as bad as Walmart, but when you get into the freezer area, or produce that needs to be kept cold, dairy, etc. boy you are shivering before you know it. I have checked out before being thru shopping, just to get out of store.

HB used to venture out without a coat in all weather....he even made a trip to Kansas without a coat or long-sleeved shirt. He's now cold most of the time. Grandson is always in shorts...he will wear something other than crocs when it snows...
I've never encountered a freezing cold Walmart...or one I'm uncomfortable in and I get cold easily... weird...

Toad is in his or someone's burrow in the back yard.... a spot that MUST be checked every time we are outside.

It is like Summer today. Sunny, 73, moderate humidity. Typical of Octobers lately, and not bad at all.

Robin: That is a great picture of Mr. Toad. Maybe you should blast "The Rainbow Connection" and he will hop away. While that is Kermit the Frog's theme song, if you will, frogs and toads are related, so you never know. Sorry that your team lost, maybe next time.

OC: Hope you get out to the market to buy provisions to cook up for meals that will last a while.

Kat: Do you have a temp? I hope you don't have the flu or Covid. Last week I received two of the four free Covid tests you can get again through USPS. The second package was stolen, I am sure of it, as I got a "delivered" notice but no package. Their new expiration date is 12/23/24, and I doubt I would need to use all of them by then. Feel better!

Poirot: I don't have a Walmart near me, but some of the stores here are freezing, and one does need a sweater, at least.

Wishing all a lovely day.

Wilde Woman, I don't think it's Covid. I have a stuffy nose today. Yesterday throat felt bad.

rf, I hope you have tomorrow off.
