Good morning.... it's cool and severe weather should be hitting around noon.... how exciting given the boring hot and windy weather we've had since June.... I haven't been feeling all that special so I got myself to the doctor and he confirmed I had an UTI..... medication helps with my over water consumption and I now feel as if I might want to live another day.....
My baseball team was terrible last night, but my grandson enjoyed the game so I allowed it..... (Yes, I know I have no choice)

The winds yesterday tried to take some shingles off and they bumped and made noise all evening.... I've alerted the landlord......

Happy Wednesday......

Good morning everyone. We're to get temps up in the high 70sF today. Crazy weather for sure. We used to have to wear snowsuits or thermals under our Halloween costumes. This year, the kids will need rain gear.

Spent over 2 hours in a meeting about our work retirement changing from a Simple IRA to a 401K. GRRRR, I hate these changes so close to retirement especially since everything was already figured out for my disbursements to start next April. So much paperwork to move 4 accounts over to 1. In the long run it'll make getting my disbursement easier plus easier to make changes online if needed.

robinsnest, Hope your medicine works quickly to get you feeling better.

WOW! That score sure flipflopped last night. I was rooting for the Dodgers, but things just fell apart for them. Hopefully they can pull it out tonight.

A little windy today the trailer is swaying periodically
May get some rain
Hopefully not when I do pickups for the kids
Also may need to run to the store for my boss to get a few things we need using the petty cash from the safe
Hope you feel better soon Robinsnest
Hope your echo goes well Poitot. Be safe driving in the storm

Sunny and 66. Can't complain.

Robin: I hope the weather isn't too severe. Glad you got meds to help you improve. Good luck with the roof shingles.

redsquirrel: I am the same way about changes to plans we know and understand., but sounds as if you will be better off once the new plan is in place. I like the Dodgers but have to root for the Yankees being a New Yorker. Though I am a Mets gal at heart.

Poirot: Wishing you well at your doctor's appointment.

rfsexton: You have a lot going on, hope it all works out, including the weather.

It's mid-week, music to my ears. Let's get through it together.

Outside of lying still, that echogram was fine.....took about 1/2 hr. Strip from waist up, put on the gown, open area in back, lie on left side on bed.....nurse puts gel on the sort of round ball thing that she puts in one spot, moves it back, forth, sideways at that spot (without lift up, it's a camera and she is watching the pics that come up, I swear hundreds of pics were taken. She did this to 3 places on chest, then she said "under your chin" but it was center of throat. All done, you can go home. All the pics go up to Duluth to be read! In fact, they were being sent there while being taken. After they finish reading and diagnosing, they will contact me..........either phone or mail, don't know which.......and let me know the results.

Alas, while it was nearly 60 outside when I arrived there, was 48 when I left, The forecast has been changed, rain tonite, snow tomorrow, & possibly on Friday, very very windy. Yep, bring out the winter jackets, and die hards who kept wearing shorts will have to change to longer pants, methinks. Bring out the boots........the thing is I am very leery now of walking in snow/ice. Do not have good balance, so the fear of falling..........egads. And I truly need to get groceries.......sigghhhh. I only had a lite jacket on when went to dr. appt......the temp was so nice. Ha. I still may try, not very windy right now. Perhaps just a winter jacket will work.

We will be in 40s thru weekend, unless they change the forecast again, and make it worse.

Another warm day here. It's partly cloudy with wind. The high close to 80 again with
high humidity. Rain is suppose to start after midnight.

I got the ditch behind my house clear by cheating. I was getting too hot trying to work.
I moved 4 cans of leaves, but raked the rest on the other side of the ditch behind a
fence. It's the widest clear spot on the side. I'll try to move them one day before grass
starts in the spring. I rolled up the hose in back. Rest time now.

Poirot, I hope you get good results from you echogram. Good luck getting shopping done.

robin, I hope your infection clears up quickly

rs, good luck with getting your retirement accounts ready.

rf, I hope you get rain at the time you want it.

Wilde Woman, enjoy your fall day.

I hope everyone will have a peaceful rest of the day.

Now isn't this a fun thing.......As long as it remains a watch it will be fine.....
she says with her fingers crossed....

Kat, good going on getting that ditch cleared!

Poirot, I'm glad the Echogram wasn't hard on you. Sure hoping you get good results. The thought of having to navigate on snow/ice all winter is too much. Be as safe as you can.

Wilde Woman, I'm glad you have more than half your workweek behind you now. Hope it's easy sliding to the finish line now.

Sexton, I can'e even think about being in a trailer house that's swaying in the wind! I'm always concerned for my niece, who lives in one on top of a wide-open hill. Also my son's family, traveling around in their large camper 5th wheeler makes me nervous in bad weather.

Squirrel, trick or treating in the rain doesn't sound like much fun, but more fun than the meetings and paper work you're having to do for your retirement.

Sometimes it's nice to have a landlord to call when property needs attention. Hope the meds chase away that UTI in a hurry!

My niece and I went to town and voted this morning, then ate. I was going to also pay my property taxes and renew my truck license but I forgot to take my check book. Now I'm fighting to stay awake.

It's over 90* here, still very windy, but supposed to change tonight. Now I'm falling asleep.......

robin, take care during the bad weather.

OC, I hope you won't be late paying your property taxes.

Awww, what a cute hairdo on Vinnie.

Here, our property taxes come in December, and I believe have to be paid ........well, lst installment by January 31, or if paying entire...same date.

Cute picture, Robin, and funny Vinnie. He looks like he's thinking, "Why, why, did you do that to me?" I'm wondering whether curly hair on dogs gets more curly in damp weather, like with people who have curly hair. My daughter has extremely curly hair and she says it's easier to manage when she's out here visiting me because it's a lot more humid in Dallas than here. I hope your weather doesn't get too bad.

Kat, thanks, but I have until after the first of the year before there would be any late penalties on my taxes. I only got the notice about a week ago and was going to go ahead and pay it today because we don't go to this town often (even though it is the closest of any real town, only 20 miles). I usually have to make a special trip there for things like taxes and vehicle registration. I'm thinking about going there for a haircut though, so I'll take my checkbook for the business stuff if and when I do that.

Poirot, that doesn't give you a lot of time but like most things, we don't have any say about it.
