what happened to even slightly warm? It is cold! Was 27° when I got up, 69 ° in the house. I think the heating system automatically goes 4 ot 5 degrees cooler during the night, no matter what you set the thermostat. Gosh, it seems so cold, but guess the ponds are beginning to freeze up, takes the lakes a bit longer. I woke up every couple hours, and it was colder each time outside. Yep have a turtleneck on, plus a blazer. Brrrrrrr.

Good late morning..... it was chilly at last night's football game that "we" managed to loose spectacularly, one first down in the entire game, zero points scored never got closer to the end zone than 20 yard line, where we fumbled it.... the other team built up an impress score of 55 they missed an extra point... the wind was light the air cool.... me not dressed warmly enough... oh well..... today is bright and sunny a nice fall day.... by Monday we will be back in the high 80's.... if I were still in Arizona this would be normal but it's not per everyone who lives here.....
I have the mail run yet to do today and HB is going shoe shopping.... something he hasn't done for YEARS.... unless you count getting crocs....

I hope everyone has a fantastic day but most importantly Poirot's day warms up to a nice day....

It was in the low 60s outside this morning when I woke up. It was nice in the house
since it was in the 80s yesterday. It's partly cloudy and will be in the 70s today. The
same tomorrow. Rain is suppose to start Wed night.

This afternoon lunch out with my former Sunday school class. Today not many are
able to come.

Poirot, you need an electric blanket. I wear socks at night and my head is covered when
I sleep.

robin, sorry to hear about the football game. I hope HB will find shoes he likes.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable rest of the day.

I can't complain at 63 degrees and a lot of sun. But we are still under brush fire alerts due to not having had any rain in almost 30 days.

Poirot: You are getting the cold no one else has yet. I do hope it warms up for you soon.

Robin: Sorry your team lost, better luck next time.

Kat: Hope your lunch went well.

Let's all enjoy the rest of the day.

That has to be a norman rockwell painting .......gosh I loved him, they used to do calendars using his work. Heck, I subscribed to the Sat. Evening Post and they frequently used his pics as covers. He was such a great talent, so down to earth. Thank you kind sir for giving us all so much pleasure thru the years......Rest in Peace.

We're having a cool spell today, reaching only 79*. Tomorrow back up to 89*, then 91* on Monday. Things are very dry. Might improve next week with 80s* and at least one 70s* and a chance of rain, maybe.

Poirot, I feel for you with the cold temperatures. I've never been tolerant of cold but now worse than ever. It's one thing for it to be cold outside but living inside a cold house is unbearable to me. I lived for years with no way to control inside temperature--cold or hot. It's just no fun.

Kat, too bad not many were able to attend the lunch gathering. I hope you enjoyed it anyway.

Robin, once again you've taken unpleasant things that happen to you and made me laugh in the telling of them. "We managed to lose spectacularly..." Too funny, though not funny that you lost. I hope HB found shoes that were perfect for his needs. That bull riding event is a nail biter. :rotfl: Cuter than cute!

Wilde Woman, some more nice weather for you. Goody! I hope you and I both get some rain soon.

Poirot, ditto on Norman Rockwell. My daughter-in-law, who does fabulous cross stitching, once made a Christmas tree skirt and stockings based on his art work. So pretty.
