Good morning all, and thanks again for all the birthday wishes yesterday. In this neck of the woods we are going to experience some pretty blustery weather over the next 3 days. Steady winds of 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. I need to get outside and batten down objects like garbage cans and other light weight items so they don't get gifted to the neighbors.

Wishing you all a happy and safe day!

Sounds like what our forecasters here are saying for the coming week! Plus while we have 40s50s, coming up are high 70s.......strange weather.
Hope you had a wonderful day yesterday, Lil0.....I do have to get out to the store today, procrastinated too long now. but right now, have to jump in the shower........Tomorrow the manager here called a meeting of the homeowners for 9 a.m. I WAS going to do some things tomorrow a.m., but will have to stuff them into today somwhere. Have a good one.

Morning all.... Tonight is Homecoming, Senior Celebration and the Band does their Glow Show!! We will have a pleasant day but a cooler night. We will have hit or miss rain this weekend with a better chance of rain on Monday..... crops are dying in the field we haven't had rain for so long. It will be a busy weekend of fall things....

Good Friday to all....

It is warming up. Was 52 early this morning, now it is 60. We will be seeing temps in the 70s all week, might even reach 80. Ugh! I am getting used to the cool weather, don't want the heat again. Fall, you need to hang up your hat and stay a while.

Lil0: Hope you had a great birthday. Good luck with the windy conditions.

Poirot: Sounds like you are experiencing crazy weather, too. Hope your plans all work out.

Muzza: Say it isn't snow! I hope it stays away.

rfsexton: You are also having temp swings all over the place. Hope it settles to a good temp for you.

Robon: Have a great time with all those events.. I do hope you get the rain you need.

Good morning (afternoon in a few minutes) everybody. Another cold day with morning frost here. By Sunday we'll be back up in the high 60s F during the day. Mother Nature better get with the program and give us our normal cooler temps. We've usually had our first snow by now.

Must get started cleaning since I spent my morning down the rabbit hole of genealogy.

Ah... genealogy..... years ago I did the DNA test with Ancestry..... My dad always claimed to be German, my mom was Italian and Irish.....so the DNA comes back no German.... 23% Italian, 22% Irish then the rest English and French I think.... IT was weird no German and on the little map they send you Germany remain uncolored in..... My siblings run their DNA and my brother is more Italian than I am he's 25% my sister is less she's 20% our Irish is also basically the same, neither of them are German either.....I get updates almost annually, stopped paying for Ancestry after the test was run....I got one last year telling me I get my love of dancing from my mother.... which is odd since I don't dance, and she never danced either so I guess we get our love of NOT dancing ..... this week I got my update for the year, along with a come on back plea and now I'm 30% German with the same Irish and Italian, but alas France has dropped out of the picture.... There is more of course but I have to pay for it and I really don't care to, so it will remain a mystery..... I have a cousin who is delving deep into my paternal aka German side.... so I don't have to care...
I have a 2nd cousin? who is deep into my mother's dad side, we know my mom's mother's parentage...(they are the Italians)...
It was fun at the time but I don't care enough to keep it up.... as it's a time suck....

Robin, from what you've said, I have to wonder how reliable any of it is?? One of my two older kids had theirs done. It said no native American. Their dad's grandmother was half Cherokee from Oklahoma. I knew the woman. No doubt about it.

I pretty much belong in a junk heap today. I knew those shots for pain wouldn't last long term but I was hoping to get a couple of days out of them. It wasn't to be. Before I went to bed at 11:00 last night I felt a slight twinge of pain but went on to sleep, only to wake up at 2:00 in excruciating pain. I took one of the prescription pain pills about half an hour ago and so far all it's done is dry out my mouth! My daughter just called. No way will I be able to go to the ball game with her tonight but now her husband is coming with her so at least she won't have to go alone.

It was in the 20s again when we walked. It's sunny and in the 70s now. Maybe rain around Halloween. Weekend
is suppose to be nice.

Handyman here again today putting up a new mailbox stand. Thanks goodness it last awhile with the
rotten bottom. He fixed a hole in the house too.

OC, I'm sorry the pain medication didn't last very long. I hope the doctor will have you get x-rays to see
what's wrong. I heard you can have your shoulder replaced.

Lil0, I hope you get your home ready for the wind.

Poirot, I hope you got your errands done today and the meeting tomorrow goes well.

Muzzaman, enjoy the weekend before winter weather comes.

robin, enjoy the game. I hope your area gets rain.

Wilde Woman, I hope you get cooler temps again soon.

rs, I hope you got some cleaning done.

rf, enjoy your weekend.

I hope everyone has a nice rest of the day and good weekend.

Tis windy here today, sunny, did get up to 68.......it was 40 this a.m. No, did not get errands done at all, did not even go outside. I might run over to WalMart in a bit. not sure. When it is windy, if I have to walk any distance, (because of parking) i get so out of breath pretty quickly. What is funny is I try to wear a baseball cap, or some sort of hat,, but blows right off my head.......LOL. My hair used to be so thick, but has really gotten this, so some of my hats are just too big......Ahhh, such fun When I see the huge pines with their branches waving all over the place, well, you can tell how windy it is. I think 35-40 MPH now.
My son is coming up late tonight for weekend, and will stop by tomorrow to take a look at my toilet........it keeps running and running whenever I flush.....he doesn't want me calling a plumber until he takes a look. Had the blood check yesterday, it was low, so they are adjusting the dosage and have to go back in a week, so they can check again.
Take care all......have a good day........

You know, I did a lot of geneaology stuff a few years ago. Hubby is ........Irish & Italian......parents were 100% Irish
paternally, 100% Italian maternal side.
Me...Dad was English, 3/4 and 1/4 German. Mom was Polish, 75% and not sure, as near German border. In both cases, my parents' parents were from "the old countrty" . Heck, I had a grandparent who could not speak English at all. Gosh, so long ago.
But thus, always say my kids definitely are just American. And since both married men of other ethnic backgrounds, the grandchildren and even more "American".
But then, if you travel outside the U.S. , YOU are always considered to only be American! and I am proud to say I am. God Bless the U.S.A.
