My weather is like yours, Wilde Woman. 42* this morning and 70s* during the day this week. It's dry though, and lots of sunshine, and wind, out of north today. I turned on my heat for the first time this season.
Poirot, I've always wondered how wildlife survives your winters. I had no idea squirrels might leave the area.
Robin, I think a lot of things are just made of inferior quality these days. Maybe door latches are in that category. I had new new handles and locks put in my French doors recently (3rd time because the first two locks did not work). This time the long, slender handles are ridiculously thin. Same design but much thinner. Maybe it's supposed to make them more attractive but I suspect it's a way of cutting cost. It almost hurts my hand to grasp them--like grabbing hold of a dull knife.
Kat, I liked the videos. Cute!
I don't want to be overrun with squirrels, happy to have only one or two. I sure do enjoy watching them. I watch them bury pecans all the time and I always wonder if they will remember where they hid them. Did I already tell that they've taken to eating pecans on my back landing above the steps--overnight. Each morning I find new scraps of freshly eaten pecans.
