And who doesn't like eating shared food with strangers? Buffets have always seemed odd to me, but then food must not touch when on my plate also so now that you have TMI, I will leave this topic.

Happy day 2 of the new year. Twice now, I've had to go back and put the correct number at the end of the year..... oy......
Much to do today so I'd best be off.....

Sunny and 41. It feels like Monday, not Thursday, since yesterday was a holiday.

Robin: I get it about buffets. I never liked them. But I thought that, post-pandemic, they were abolished. I guess not.

another cloudy, cold day here, snow on the ground, still having a few flakes drift down here and there, really not much on ground yet, but the streets look snow covered. Our little subdivision did not get plowed or swept, but the highways seemed clear the other day. but then, it snowed since then, and I have not been out. Have to go for dr. appt in an hour or so, just a jab in the finger for a blood check. (Pills I take require blood monitoring) Probably will run into the store, as bread loaf getting low. LOL.......I would really rather hold off on doing so......but don't trust the weather.....never used to bother me, but sure does now. Am behind in watching Days.......Unusual for me, gotta play catch up........but also will be working on taking down the Christmas stuff. 14° here today, every day now we will lose a few degrees as a high. Some sort of cold front decended down from Canada. Sweaters, warm jacket, wool caps & boots. The ol winter uniform. Ha. Take care...
 
It was sunny this morning, but now it's partly cloudy. Sunday the big weather change. My area is on the
cusp where the cold front will be. North of me white stuff. South rain. My area is iffy. Hopefully, just rain.

The tree cutters are back next door. Sad to see how much they're cutting in the back. I heard a lot of
banging. I looked outside and they were dropping big stuff behind the fence. Later, I went out and
looked more closely. They're cutting up the wood and taking it with them. Yippee.

Poirot, good luck getting out today.

I hope everyone is keeping an eye on the winter storm that's coming. It looks like it will barely
miss me, but things could change.
 
We're at -8 F. here (-22 C). Wind chill at -20 F
We are supposed to warm up next week. Ya, right..haha

We ventured out today to cash in our change that we collected together for 24 years! Not sure the bank people were happy lol. We had the coins all rolled up though. Now...we're going out to buy some much needed new living room furniture.

It's like a windfall in a way...more kids should learn that and resist robbing the piggy bank.

Mrs. Clean, what fun with the coins! My dad always emptied his pockets of change into a jar. When full, he'd give it to the grandkids and let them roll it and keep the money. It was such fun. I did it for a while but the kids nowadays aren't interested in things like that.

Wilde woman, thanks for the Archie video. And Robin, you're not the only one with eating peculiarities. Like in the video, I ate one food at a time until well into adulthood. It drove my parents crazy but I'd start with the food I liked the least and save the best for last. I don't like buffet dining either. When I do go to eat at one I try to get there when it first opens so there haven't been a lot of people hovering over the food already.

Had a long day. Went to town, made several stops--long time in Wal-Mart, then United. It was terribly crowded. I was gone from home from 11:30 till 4:30. Had lots of things to unload. I tried to stock up on things because the weather is supposed to be terribly cold next week.
