Oh, my gosh! UP here, we have to keep an eye on the tank, as it gets sooooo cold, and all the pipes, etc. would freeze very quickly when we lived out at the lake, did not bother first week after a delivery, but after that, nearly every day. (my hubby had been in the heating & a/c business for years). So am glad no longer have to worry, since we moved into town. This place is all electric, which is nice in one respect, a pain in another. I really do not like electric stoves. Had gas all my life, think it works much better. Well, can't change it, so live with it. rf, hope you did not get too cold or have anything freeze on you, and that by now, you are back to cozy, warm.
They still have not come and fixed the fireplace, and tho temps right now are o.k., come Sat./Sunday it will take a huge plunge, into the below zero area.......That is when the fireplace would get turned on. Do not want to live with 67°. Last weekend I put on the electric stove, not for long, just to get the heat from the oven for a bit. I don't like to have it on with nothing in it.....I don't think anything would happen, but were cautioned no to do so with gas oven. I have an electric space heater for this little office area........with windows and and glass patio door on the 3 sides (4th is open to dining area) it gets so cold out here. Up north is nice to visit, and stay in winter for snowmobiling, but....when you live here, there's a few drawbacks. LOL
