41 and overcast today. Feels balmy after last week's big chill, but temps will drop again tomorrow.

Today is National Clean Your Desk Day (though I have seen it listed with a few other dates). Not all desks are actually desks. I work on my dining room table. It is clean and organized, and I do take everything off on Friday nights to thoroughly clean it. Amazing how much dust collects on furniture.

Everyone have a great day, no matter what you use for a desk. What DOES everyone use for a desk, if at all?

Good morning..... I have a desk..... a real big desk with a glass top, middle thin drawer with 3 drawers on either side of the center AND a pull out for someone to use if they are sitting across from me!!! It was HB's executive desk from his much younger days when I didn't know him.... it is piled with stuff at the moment. I will make movements to clear it today as it's as good a day as any.....

Tonight is the first full moon of the year.... if you have clear skies and snow on the ground it could be quite bright out..... it was for a while here till cloud cover took over..... I'm not going to go take a look at in as I would in more temperate times, but if I'm out and I will be I may try to take a look.
We are also coming up on a rare all planets will be in alignment. I doubt you'll be able to see all with the naked eye. I'm searching for some easy to understand directions of when and where to look so if you are able and want to you can take a gander outside at this fairly rare event.

lol, HAVE been cleaning/clearing off my desktop for a week now....seems everything I get rid off makes room for double what was there. And thus it just won't get cleared............lol
 
Poirot, I don't know whether to put a laughing or a sad face at your comment. I have the same problem. Can't seem to keep mine cleared off for any length of time.

I wish I did have an actual desk. My sister got our g-grandfather's roll-top desk. She never was able to get it or the bunkhouse it was stored in restored so it's beyond repair. Not unless spending a fortune on it. Neither of us really had any room to put it but I sure would like to have it--in good shape--for a desk now. I'm just using a long fold-up table with a 2-drawer file cabinet next to it. No places for storing things, which is one reason it's hard to keep my "desk" cleared off.

Wilde Woman, I don't know why it surprises me that you'd get much dust in a city where there's not a lot of bare dirt. I suppose there's dust anywhere there's air. I wish I could be as fastidious as you are about cleaning. More accurately, I wish I had somebody to keep things clean for me!

Robin, your executive desk sounds nice. Glad you spoke of the moon and such. Last night I noticed it looked almost full but forgot to look at a calendar to see just when. I've been seeing some bright planets (I guess that's what they are) but haven't seen any that appear to be lined up yet. I think we'll have clear skies this week so I'll be on the lookout.

It was 23* this morning, give or take. In the 50s* today but cold again tonight.
 
minus 12 this morning.....has gone up to minus 4°. Was so chilly inside, went to turn on fireplace, and it would not .......so called the boss here, he came, fiddled with it for a while, said the pilot was lit, but not getting draft to light up. He left, said he'd be back, and not to touch anything. Well, sun is out, bright, lovely blue sky, but, sun doesn't do much good with the temps below zero. We have had a lot of snow, so the pine trees are all flocked, the ground all covered, and yes......boots for sure. haven't been plowed, tho when the boss was here this a.m. , he evidently brought a snow shovel, so the sidewalk to my front door got shoveled. LOL
 
Still on the beach. Drank too much before noon so if my posts make no sense I apologize

Son #1 recalibrated Litter Robot. Son #2 ignoring me. Daughter "no screens for my child" has him home sick watching Blue's Clues. I'm laughing at her.
 
It's sunny today and only 37 this afternoon. It was close to 50 yesterday. There's still too much
ice and snow on the streets because it refreezes at night.

I didn't walk before going to church because a side street I walk is still covered with stuff. I'm
going to walk Tuesday later in the morning when it's warmer.

A busy morning at church. I had to call the office to get into doors. An hour ago I got the call
my fob is ready. I'll probably go Thurs after the little library to get it.

I have a regular desk where things get piled on. I need to find time to clean it off. The PC is on
a computer desk. I sit at the dining room table to do my studies.
