Happy New Year
So much for a day off
Got texted that an employee is still sick. Working 10 to 3. This will put my week at 40 hours, so unless Boss wants to pay over time....

49 and sunny with a wind advisory. Was going to go out but decided to stay in and putter about.

Kat - Great image!

rfsexton - I am sorry you have to work again. Take care of yourself.

Wishing everyone on this board, including family and friends, a Happy and Healthy New Year!

It's sunny and in the low 40s this afternoon. There's a breeze so it feels cooler. The
weather changes Sunday with rain and a cold front.

When I watched the Rose parade, I took time to go through my email box. I got rid
of a lot of emails.

I went outside for a few minutes after 1. After the man left Monday, I noticed a pile of cement.
I don't know if he made the pile or it was underneath. I took a shovel and put it in the trashcan.
It's a little warmer tomorrow and I plan to work more in the area.

My neighbor next door is getting trees trimmed back today. There are a lot of trees by his
back fence. Most of it is being pulled down in his backyard.

rf, sorry you have to work today. Hopefully, you'll have the rest of the week off.

robin, sorry to hear about the noise last night. Hopefully, tonight will be fine.

Wilde Woman, enjoy the nice weather.

Wishing everyone a new year full of joy, happiness and peace.

Cloudy and cold all day, then it began to snow, still going on. 19 and now temp dropping..down to 16 so far. Very lightly thru the afternoon, dark now, cannot tell any more. Funny that when I lived rural, out by the lake, could hear all kinds of noise, see fireworks in the air at times (had to be from local not far resorts, )but here in town, heard not a thing. Maybe they don't do it anymore?? Who knows. Thus no dogs barking, etc. then again, so cold out, no one wants to stay out to either do the work of setting off, or watch. :)
Hope you all had a lovely holiday........mine was very quiet. Guessing those neighbors who went elsewhere will be returning this weekend. My son had planned on coming for the holiday, but weather was awful for driving. Fog, icy roads...glad he made that decision.
I did my laundry on Tuesday.....so the new year began with clean clothes. LOL
Thought I'd be able to order out at one of the several restaurants here.....alas all were closed today. guess were probably open late New Year's Eve.....who knows?
Again, Happy, happy New Year. Hope you all enjoyed these couple days, had a good time with friends and family. God Bless.

I haven't done much except feed cows, cook and eat and wash dishes. Still have some dishes to wash before I go to bed.

My daughter gave me a jigsaw puzzle for Christmas. I used to enjoy doing them but hadn't done one in years. This one is different. It's round, like a medallion, has flowers and hummingbirds. Kind of challenging because the pieces are small and except for the outside pieces, which form a big circle, all the pieces are about the same size and are shaped something like a turtle. Took me a while to get into it but now I'm wanting to stop and work on it every time I go through the room.

rf, sorry no days off this week. I hope you'll have Sunday.

OC, round puzzles are interesting. I sometimes walk by a puzzle I'm doing and put
a couple of pieces in. Enjoy doing it.

Poirot, I hope you found something to eat.
