We've noted this several times already. Spencer Olson is the son of Steven Olson, who is Julie's brother that just returned to Salem for Doug's funeral.

Spencer has never been seen in Salem. Julie mentioned him, just one time, in 1991. She said she got a letter from Spencer and he was going to attend Salem U's law school. But apparently the storyline was dropped and he was never mentioned again, until Steven was leaving after Doug's funeral and he told Leo that his son Spencer is gay and a really good guy, so Leo should look him up (because Leo was complaining about not being able to find a nice guy to be involved with).

If it's not Jay Kenneth Johnson's version of Philip Kiriakis I'd rather not see it. I find Philip annoying as a bee buzzing in your ear when I see John-Paul Lavoisier's slimy version. Jay's version was likeable most of the time (although I might be partial to his dimples and beautiful smile!). Bottom line for me, Jay Kenneth Johnson is my Philip Kiriakis!

Of course they will hang the Horton ornaments. That's a given. Even when they were in Aremid (1995), or when Tom Horton was in the hospital (1993), or that one time at Bo and Hope's house (2009), they've always hung the Horton ornaments.

I enjoyed Jay Kenneth Johnson (ex-Philip) back during his first and second run, but his last one turned me off. He was always scowling and frowning. He was pretty terrible.
