BE COURTEOUS. BE TOLERANT. You're about to encounter many new friends in our community, with many new and interesting viewpoints. Please be respectful and tolerant of everyone you meet, even if you disagree with their opinions. Don't use language that is threatening, abusive, harassing, hateful or racially or ethnically objectionable. Do not engage in personal attacks against ANYONE. This includes Days cast members and actors, other members or the staff itself. If you have a beef with a character on the show, that's fine, but DO NOT make it personal against the actor themselves. We work hard to keep our Community a fun spot to visit. |

KEEP IT CLEAN, PLEASE. Express yourself freely. But get your message across without resorting to foul language. Postings that contain vulgar or obscene language will not be tolerated in our community. This includes known acronyms and slang. As for photos, keep them tasteful. This is not a NSFW (not safe for work) zone, and we want everyone to feel comfortable here. |

DON'T SPOIL THE SURPRISE !!! When you post a thread/topic which might contain spoiler information -- meaning information about the show, characters, actors, or plotlines which hasn't happened yet -- there are two parts that we ask that you follow. 1) PLEASE do not reveal the spoiler in the subject line of your post which can be seen by all and 2) PLEASE select "SPOILER!!" from the "Prefixes" box at the editor screen. Doing so will help us keep from ruining someone's day who hasn't had the chance to watch the show yet. |

ONE ACCOUNT PER PERSON
As our dear friend Willy Wonka once said ; "Everyone has one, and ONE is enough for anyone". In our particular case, that means that each human being gets one username, one account. There is literally no need or excuse for anyone opening multiple accounts except perhaps to stir up trouble. As such, anyone caught opening multiple accounts risks the automated deletion of not only the duplicate account, but their original account as well. If you have a problem with your password, such as losing or forgetting it, use the Contact Us link below and we'll be happy to help. |

DON'T ADVERTISE. Please help keep our community "commercial free." Never post any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional items, junk mail or "spam." Soliciting may include promoting a home business, charity drives, items for auction, etc., as well as information such as a contact address or web URL. |
|
|
VI. |
DON'T PUT BIG PICTURES IN YOUR SIGNATURE.. Please do not post big pictures in your signature. Aside from being considered both impolite and annoying, putting big images in your signature slows the site down for everyone, and believe it or not, not everyone (even in this era) has DSL or Cable Modems yet. |

DON'T POST INFORMATION COPYRIGHTED BY OTHERS. We understand that mistakes happen, but information copyrighted or owned by other people and sites, should not be posted in our community. Please be aware that if you post any copyrighted information, you will be held responsible. While we strive to keep the site free of imposing materials, neither the owners nor its staff assume responsibility for any posts that violate copyright laws. Copyrighted information may include content from another website or our subscriber-only areas, a recipe from a book, and Intellectual Property. Note to copyright holders: If you find something on our site which violates your posted or documented copyright, please use the "Contact Us" link the bottom of any page here and we will work with you to address it swiftly. |

RESPECT OUR SALEMSPECTATOR.COM TEAM. Our friendly community team includes staff and volunteers who've agreed to spend time maintaining a safe, harassment-free online community. You may not encounter us all the time, but we do try to stay in touch with what's happening in the community. Please help us do our jobs by paying attention to our posts and trying to follow any suggestions. Please respect their efforts. Starting public wars and encouraging mutiny can only serve to hurt the community itself. We know that we're not perfect, but if you have a problem with one of the staff or their decisions, please use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of each and every page and we will do our best to address any perceived issue you might have. |

SHARE Our Message Boards are a great place to offer and receive information and knowledge about Days of Our Lives. Many of our members have watched almost religiously for literally decades. Each person has a distinct idea about plotlines, romances, secrets and everything about the show. We encourage you to share yours, and to be open to the opinions of others, even if you happen to dsagree. You never know. If you're willing to consider someone else's opinion, you might even learn something new. To insure that posts are clearly understood, use of combo names or texting symbols is not allowed. Actors should be designated by their full names, not initials, and it is helpful then, to include their character names in parenthesis. |

WE RESERVE OUR RIGHTS. We reserve the right to remove any postings on our boards. If you fail to observe our Community Standards and Conduct Guidelines (this document), we may terminate your participation in the Community at our discretion. We volunteer our time, effort and yes, even our money to provide everyone with a peaceful sharing community who loves Days as much as the next guy. As volunteers, we (the staff) are in it for the "fun" of working with a community. As the most honest thing you'll hear all day, anything, or anyone who threatens that peace is welcomed to find another place to hang out. |
REPORTING A POST. If you see a post that violates our rules, please help by clicking on the "Report" link under the offensive post. Then fill out the corresponding pop-up box to let us know why.. You can also type in any additional comments you may have. Then click "Send" and we'll handle the rest. Avoid reporting posts or threads based on the identity of individuals but rather on the actual content of their post or profile. Our community team will not take sides of a conflict and will only act on specific violations. |
